Do you furnish the cleaning supplies & vacuum cleaner?

Our clients provide their own cleaning supplies and vacuum cleaner for the following reasons;

Are the maids employees?

iMaids works with professional independent maids.

Why do you charge more (per hour) for a one-time cleaning?

One-time cleanings are generally more difficult to perform and require additional work (scheduling, mapping, billing, etc.).

Do you sell cleaning supplies?

We will begin selling commercial cleaning supplies and vacuum cleaners around Fall, 2015.


Service can be scheduled daily, weekly, bi-weekly, each 4 weeks or one-time. iMaids has a 3 hour minimum per visit. Cleanings are typically performed Monday to Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

How long does it take for service to begin?

Depending on availability and your preferences, cleanings typically begin within 2 to 3 business days.

Why do first time cleanings typically cost more?

There is usually more dust, dirt and grime to clean, so it takes longer. Your maid must also learn your residence and personal needs.

How is home entry arranged?

We can enter whichever manner you choose. Some popular methods include the assignment of a key, use of a lockbox or entry through the garage. Please ensure your home security alarm system is off on the days of cleaning.

What if I’m not satisfied with the maid you assign to me?

If you cannot resolve a matter with your maid or just are not satisfied with the quality or reliability of service they provide, notify us and we will promptly schedule you with a new maid.

Are your services guaranteed?

Yes! If you are ever not completely satisfied with any cleaning, simply let us know and we will re-clean.

What if a cleaning must be rescheduled?

We’ll try our best to reschedule you with another maid.

How do I pay for your services?

By ACH checking (free) or credit/debit card (3% processing fee).

What if I have special or a one-time cleaning request?

Notify your maid ahead of time to ensure they are available to complete the job. You will be charged your regular hourly rate.

Do your maids speak English?

Although English is not the first language for some of our maids, they can clearly communicate with you.

How do I pay for your services?

By credit or debit card.

Do I need to sign a contract?

No. We simply ask, if you discontinue, that you give as much notice as possible.

Are tips expected?

No, but tips are a wonderful way of expressing your appreciation.

Do I need to be home?

No. Most clients are at work or run errands, although you are welcome to stay and provide guidance.

What will your maids not do?

Please do not ask for heavy-lifting, outside window cleaning, cleaning with bleach or furnish ladders exceeding two steps. Provide a safe environment with a comfortable temperature and contain any pets that may interfere with the maid’s duties.

iMaids obtains comprehensive background checks from Info Cubic. They include, but are not limited to; Social Security Number trace, statewide, county and nationwide criminal search (including sex offender search), employment verification and legal eligibility to work in the U.S.

Hourly versus ‘by the job’?

Many maid services charge by the job, allowing them to hastily clean your home. Simply put, the faster they clean, the more money they earn (per hour). We believe charging hourly is most equitable, transparent and flexible.

One Maid versus Teams

Teams are good for only one reason; if you want your maid(s) to get in and out as fast as possible. iMaids is all about personal, trusting relationships with one maid. We never rotate or work with teams (unless you choose to).
